i don't know if this is just my experience but it's kinda funny how you can straight up say to someone "im going to kill myself" and they pretend that they care for like 2 seconds and then forget about it or just brush it off
and it's not like I'm saying that randomly to people i barely know, I've said that before to my family, my close friends etc
and i know that they care about me but it's like they don't believe me...
did anyone else experience something like that?

All the time. I've been in situations where I will tell someone I'm going to kill myself, and they completely brush me off.

More recently I opened up to a friend of 6~ years, and I told them
"I feel like I'm going to feel this way forever, I'll never recover. I'm going to kill myself feeling alone and disgusting."
And their exact response was,
"I'd rather believe the statistics that say you'll eventually feel better than your emotions. Stop complaining and man up, you're acting emotional again."
I will never speak to that person again.

I'd imagine one is more likely to elicit a response, such as in the OP's premise, if they had told people on numerous occasions that they were going to kill themselves and then never did. A little bit of the "cry wolf" thing going on.

I think it's a process of internal denial. People cannot fathom you going through with CTB- ... until you CTB. Yknow?
It freaks them out in the moment, but their brain naturally shuts it down later. Maybe some sort of coping mechanism, I'm not really sure. But of course, you also have plenty of individuals who just, go straight to brushing it off. Which is just, honestly bizarre to me.
But if there's anything that annoys me, it's the narrative of these people who- as you say, brush off your thoughts (whether in the moment or later) because they don't believe in the possibility of you going through with anything. But then if or when you do, they have the audacity to turn around and say "I did everything I could to help them! If only I'd done more!"

What a fucking joke.

its because everyone jokes about killing themselves at the most silly thing. you see it everywhere. so the sentence lost it meaning. like how people who aren't depressed would say "man that make me depressed" when in reality they just felt momentarily sad about something.

Meme culture has taken away the severity of mental illness and suicide. And unfortunately, many people joke about it to be funny and quirky. Takes away the severity from the rest of people that are asking for help.

Yeah, most people only care in the moment to look good, then don't bother. At this point, I've honestly lost hope in most people.

Oh for sure. I've said it to the people I'm "close" with but they simply do not care and seems to blame me for being a mood killer.
One time I even halfway said how I would do it, but they brushed it off as sort of 'what a silly man, you're not doing that'
I'm just seen as depressing and my way of acting or talking is seen as a big joke. When I do it they'll be lying when they say there were no signs of it upfront
