Guy upstairs complained to me that I was making his room hot. I have the door open and a fan on because my room is uncomfortably hot. It's physically impossible for that to affect his room because the intervening stairwell is cooler than both of our rooms, and remains a comfortable temperature. Hot air always flows from hot to cold by conduction. Cold is the absence of heat and it would take work to move heat from a cold area into a hot area instead of vice versa. I think that should be pretty simple for a layperson to understand.
He asked me to open a window, I opened the window and took that one step further and closed the door because I don't want to deal with other people's bs. When I took the rubbish out I noticed that his own window is closed. I didn't think to check whether or not he also has the blinds down because I honestly could care less, but if I had to guess his room is probably completely exposed to sunlight.
Since his room is the highest in the flatblock, it has the least amount of shade. It would make sense that if my room is uncomfortably hot then so would his, by baseline. It has nothing to do with me. People just like to complain about others and that's both frustrating and triggering thanks to the sources of my PTSD being my shitty family.
Anyway I feel like venting, I've been having nightmares again and don't need this. I will be fine with the door closed, I will find alternative ways to deal with the heat. I just hate the way people are.
