  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I emailed Pegasos to ask if they will be using a sarco. The reply was that it is currently being reviewed and they hope to have further information in the coming months.

Hmm, since it doesn't require any prescription medication I wonder if they will expand who they take in. I highly doubt it but would be great if they do. If you could just pay their subscription fee and then just show up and use it, like the suicide booth in Futurama haha!

I have zero idea why someone would choose the sarco over IV N unless you are that afraid of needles or appealed by the novelty.

I think this sarco is overhyped. I am normally not scared about being in a small room or something similar. But I would not like to die in such a thing. It seems to uncomfortable. I would like die instead in the same way I lived. Laying in my bed. Lol.

inert gas seems ideal and the device itself is rad as hell.

I had to google sarco to realize it is the same as the suicide pod. It would be nice if they make it easier to qualify for assisted suicide

I'm not against the idea. I just wonder why so many people are attracted to something like sarco over N, maybe because of how futuristic it looks? It's still just inert gas. Maybe the fact that it doesn't involve taking a drug overdose could factor in with some people.

Its putting a pretty new face on an old method, one that would otherwise be unpopular. Appearances really do make a difference.

I think it looks like a cheap, tacky, plastic, non biodegradable coffin.

Perfect for the modern consumer.

I read that it is intended to be printed with biodegradable materials so that the capsule actually can be [detached(?) and] used as a coffin.
