Well, I'm not a believer but...if religions happen to be right, we'll probably end up in limbo, hell or something like that. It sucks but I don't think I'll be able to live until I'm 80 in spite of that being true!!
I've always believed without question that death is the end and we are gone. Now that I look it in the face, fear has got me thinking "what if though?"

uhhh,not really. either way you're ending your life, whether you do it in a painful way or painless way the result will be the same: death.
I do think it would suck for your last moment to be suffering in agony if there truly is nothing after. Which is why I'm looking for a quick and painless way out. An ideal exit would be one that you can slip through not struggle to budge the door open.

Nope, I don't think so! That's why I said I'm not a believer.
However, if "God" really punishes people for ctb, I guess "hell" will be unavoidable but still, I'll ctb lol.
And you might be right, maybe we won't go to Hitler's hell but according to "religions", something bad will be coming! (still, I don't think so)
Anyway, I'm an agnostic but if there happens to be a "God", I bet he/she/it won't care if we ctb because they should understand that we didn't ctb because we found it funny.
Unfortunately, the more I read about this universe, philosophy and religion, the more I realize how alone we are and nonsense existing is.
I agree. It's hard to wrap my head around just completely losing the concept of time, like without a consciousness two weeks from now is the same as 10 billion years from now if that makes sense

Don't you mean death of natural causes vs suicide like all the other believers in the afterlife?
Not necessarily, I was reading a thread about ghosts and one user suggested spirits linger if they were under distress in their final moments. However now that I think of it, anyone taking their own lives whether peaceful or not can be considered distressed

No. I'm an Atheist, and I don't believe in an afterlife. If there were a god and an afterlife, it would be so unfair if this were true. Set aside whether or not we deserve eternal damnation for catching the bus, how about the many more people and animals throughout history and prehistory who met gruesome fates?

I used to be an atheist, until I felt like there's no way I can know for sure, so I guess I'm agnostic. You're definitely right about it being unfair, however does that make it any less likely? I mean look how unfair things are now

I don't believe there is an afterlife, but an peaceful and painful way out do lead to the same result - non existence. I don't think the method would have any say in anything. Suicide is an act to end suffering, it is not worthy of any negative consequences even if there was an afterlife.
The fact that we even have to have these conversations and thoughts is really depressing. Other people are living their content productive normal happy lives, and I'm stressed about CBTing because it feels like the only option out of this disgusting unfair misery...
