Help patrtial hanging with a tree ratchet?

I already bought a tree ratchet a long time ago, i keep it under my bed, my original intention was to use the night-night method but i don't have any corn sacks and...i have no idea how to use the tree ratchet correctly... honestly i believe i broke it..
So im left with using it as a rope, i have a perfect place to either hang or partially hang myself but will it work just as well as a rope? Its a stupid question but im overthinking so much, what if it rips, or just isn't enough to choke me? do i specifically need to use a rope to hang myself?

The ratchet is certainly strong enough to be used as a rope. You're in the same situation as me. I was going to do night-night, but now I'm thinking of doing partial with the ratchet instead.
There's no need to use a rope specifically.

It doesn't necessary have to be a rope alot of other materials work too. You can test it's strength by pulling it down with your full weight.
