I might attempt this soon with my wardrobe hanger bar. What knot can I use to secure the rope to it? It is a thin rope but should be enough to hold my (partial) weight I think...

For the noose end I guess I should use a slipknot?

I will use some padding around my neck too.
Also I will probably first attempt ligature strangulation with the same rope... If that doesn't work I'll move on to the PSH.

Thanks!

now, i did fail my PSH attempt, so don't take this as gospel LOL

my setup was very similar to yours, only a power cord instead of a rope. to tie it to the bar, i fastened a constrictor knot. if done correctly, it shouldn't come loose aslong as atleast some of your weight is on it. the constrictor knot wasn't what caused mine to fail. it worked exactly as intended.

i wish you the best of luck if you decide to follow through. thank you for reading ❤️

Thank you!

I wonder if this can also be used for the noose end? As I looked it up on youtube and a few of the titles describe it as the most dangerous knot, lol.

What I'm hoping for with the noose end is a knot that will tighten down around my neck as I kneel down with my weight. I don't know if a slipknot does this or if its just a fixed position knot that has to be tied tightly enough.

* Actually I looked up slip knots again, and it seems they are adjustable.

The constrictor knot seems to work with the hanger bar. :)

I'm hoping to CTB pretty soon, next couple weeks or so.
