I know there are lots of threads on this. I was wondering if you should have the knot at the front or back? Lots show the back but I had a look with the front and it seems to make the rope closer to the cartroid artery. Anyone who tested and felt like they were going to pass out, was it knotted at the front or back? Would love to half lie down, relaxed and go like that, it would also stop the feeling of being strangled.

With the knot at the back a higher pressure is applied to the carotid artery
Also I don't see how you could hang yourself while half lying down?...

I've detailed this elsewhere in this thread, but for me the knot was to the right of the Adam's apple, l leaned into it and passed out

Partial suspension hanging. You only need 4kg of weight on your cartroid artery for it to work so yes half lying down.

Nevermind I finally pictured what you said and lying down is okay as long as you face the floor (make sure it's high enough so that you can't touch the floor with your hands, you never know when the survival instinct kicks in)

If you want to hang yourself like this, reconsider

I imagine a thinner rope would be better, as long

Thanks, would need to take something to calm nerves or something. Hopefully once it tightened and I was unconscious I wouldn't have the coordination to get up

Knot should never be at the side of neck.
At the front under chin works well as it'll create a low pressure point on the windpipe so u can breath whilst still compressing the jugs and carotids on the sides.

This is pretty much what worked for me, knot under chin, high up beneath jawline, to the right of the Adam's apple, then pushing against it saw me out cold with no pain. I found the sweet spot first with my fingers, pushed against the artery and felt myself dizzying slightly.

The knot at back will be more effective

Utilize a slip knot to minimize survival instinct impact on failure to ctb

If the knot is in the front you can still breathe and you WILL still passout and hang. I did this and was found by my roommate that forgot something.

Is the slip knot the only knot that works. It seems that as the knot tightens and the one piece becomes shorter it eventually come comes out of the knot

No there are other knots that work just anything that holds however much of your body is suspended.

I know with a belt you put the belt above the middle hinge. Scarf on doorknob seems pretty easy also just tie it to your neck first then the doorknob and sit.

I think she used a large scarf that acted like a rope hanging on the doorknob over the door to the other side

Oh okay I thought you get on your knees and basically strangle yourself by pushing forward and down does that work

Basically any knot that will hold your body weight and tighten as pressure is applied.

Nope there are a few ways to do partial suspension have you looked in the resource guide?

Yeah they say she used a necktie but I don't see how that can work.
