I tried this. No matter how much I pull it won't break, its secure. But I am unable to compress my carotids. Hanging aside, even in general. I've tried my fingers, rope, twine, belt, scarves. Nothing I do compresses them. I just feel pressure in my head for minutes, like only my jugulars are being compressed.

What am I doing wrong?

Someone please help, I only have a day or two, and my backup method is a lot more painful lol.

Either the pressure applied on the carotids is not enough, or the position you used doesn't work for you. I myself only got it to the point of making me dizzy when I was in a particular position where the force applied was perpendicular to my neck instead of upwards and I had to look up, extending the front of the neck. That's with the rope tied 2 fingers below the adam's apple and by making use of socks as seen on https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/best-way-to-succeed-partial-hanging.130841
No other position got me anywhere close to that, no matter how much more force I ended up putting on my neck.

What I can recommend you is that with the fingers on your carotids, shift your head about and see when is their pulse is the strongest, that should indicate when they are the most exposed.

I tried it. It didn't work. Thanks for the link, it worked a lot better with socks. Got dizzy. But I couldn't move my feet back enough to lose consciousness. Just kept like getting back upright and I felt dizzy for a few seconds. It takes a lot more force than I expected, you can't just lean into it gently, its not pleasant.
