Partial hanging as a suicide method seems pretty unreliable? How would you even know if your ligature would sustain all the convulsions? The guide says a necktie is fine, but neckties don't seem that sturdy...?? Are there really any hanging points that will not break from all the convulsions unless you go out of your way to buy a pull up bar or something? (I don't know if I would want to buy a pull up bar because people might notice something is suspicious.) Also what if I was trying to CTB somewhere outside of my home on surfaces I haven't even tested?

I always worry about crushing the trachea, I don't really get how people achieve pressing down exactly on the carotid artery, even with socks etc. It's what prevents me from ctb that way, only 15-30s to lose consciousness sounds promising but man...Similar threads
