• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Since the marines didn't work out since I failed the ASVAB (horribly) + medical, my parents called me and suggested I should try to work as a corrections officer and I would rather work armed security than be a corrections officer.

I want to work as an armed guard eventually since I failed to join the military if I don't CTB but getting an exposed firearm permit in California will be a huge struggle.

Edit : I didn't tell my parents I had failed MEPS for self harm scars as I really hate discussing it to family and anybody in person.

I have previously worked corrections until an unrelated disability forced me to step down.

Correctional officers are quite different than guards, and are actually state level law enforcement, unless you go to a federal prison.
I am not sure how private prisons work, and would not recommend supporting them for ethical/moral reasons.

I would personally recommend a minimum security location as prisons are often short staffed, and they place security over your life.
Minimum security is usual people close to release, and they do not want to jeopardize that, nor do they wish to return to a more dangerous location.

Lastly I would not recommend the corrections field as the inmates are very observant, and will notice scars, body language, and more.
They will comment, and harass you about them, trying to get under your skin.

Good luck! I hope things will work out for you.
