• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Not even my mom cares that I'm at the lowest and clearly suicidal, i told her two days ago that, I'm going to hang myself somewhere quiet. She just blatantly texted me: "Go ahead, do you think your problems will be gone after you die?"

(p.s She's religious)

Sigh, religious parents, especially when narcissistic, is a reason for trauma. Sorry you're dealing with this.

I'm very sorry to hear this. If she's religious, I would ask her if Jesus would respond in the same manner she did, but that might just start an argument so maybe just let it go.

If this is the way she acts, that's on her, not you.

It is my belief that what happens when you die is entirely up to you - in other words your beliefs become your reality - so don't let anyone convince you that you are going to hell, as you may indeed find yourself in some hellish environment. Granted, it is just an illusion, but no more or less of an illusion than what we call everyday life. One of the original purposes of religion was to provide a familiar roadmap in this new environment (after death). The crossing of the River Styx is another example.

If you watch near death experience testimonials, you will notice that Christians often see Jesus, Catholics see pearly gates, people who believe they are going to hell have hell like experiences, still others who think nothing happens find themselves in a void. This is all temporary, however, until you come to understand that consciousness is indeed the creator of reality - it's just there is no built in delay like the one we currently agree to in this particular incarnation.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this and feel alone. Some people will never understand suicide, and don't know what to say to us. Do you see a psychiatrist that you can reach out to?

When people respond to thoughts of ctb with stuff like "go ahead" it just floors me. Why do people have to be so terrible to each other? I'm sorry you have to deal with this op

Not really, I've been fighting problems by myself :)

Yes, I've seen some videos of it. Pretty much an atheist myself. I'd probably ended up seeing nothing if ever i catch myself hanging, or in NDE.

Ya, not trying to convince anyone of anything - just trying to offer a different perspective is all. I just didn't want your mom trying to convince you that you are headed to hell and you actually believing that. I believe the earth is more akin to a classroom than the courtroom that most religions ascribe to.

Just my personal feeling though - not necessarily you, but I can understand why people would think that's crazy. I used to be an atheist, and still am, as I don't believe in a god in the religious sense of the term, After my wife died I had a set of very bizarre experiences though, which convinced me without a doubt that dying is not the end - it's more like a change of wardrobe.

Maybe you can have a conversation with your mother and let her know how she can help you. I think sometimes people don't know what to do and say when we try to reach out. People have this false belief that if we say we will ctb then it's a fake cry for attention. I'm really sorry that was her response.
