Hello. I'm 20 years old from near the State College area in PA. I have no criminal record but I have been involuntarily commuted after a failed suicide attempt. Can I still buy a shotgun? This would he considered a long gun so there should be lesser restrictions. I read that mental health records are checked with the background check, would this be a problem? I've also seen a therapist and psychiatrist and have been diagnosed with depression.
