About two weeks ago I overdosed.

I took some moderate doses hydromorphone, zopiclone, dxm, mirtazapine, a shot of vodka and seroquel

I fell asleep and woke up the next day feeling dizzy and out of body. My brain felt asleep in parts. I didnt go to ER that day out of fear from going to psych ward. My breathing was incredibly slow and heart rate non existant.

The next day i went to ER and they ran some blood tests, told me it was fine and no brain damage.

I feel so off since then, short term memory is bad and head feels asleep in parts. I think ive done some permanent damage, but doctors insist im okay and that its just new meds/stress/anxiety.

I know ive probably done permanent damage. Will it ever get better?

Any input, advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hugs and I'm sorry to hear that! You will know if you have brain damage, some fuckhead dr will have no idea and they'll patronize the hell out of you. I've suffered a similar injury due to medical malpractice and it's no fun, I don't want to say it will or won't get better but you never know and try to stay positive. Is your sleep okay? Since I suffered my injury I only sleep three hours a night now and zero napping. If your sleep is okay that is a very good sign.
Peace/hugs❤️❤️

I had some similar symptoms having Amantadine OD: my mind was struggling to do the simplest arithmetic cases and other bad stuff. Recovery taked time about 1 month. Try to have some post-brain stroke related medicine if you can, you can probably win some time.
And try do not mix dxm with alcohol next time.

Any idea how to get ahold of post-brain stroke medicine?
