So my life's fallen to shit recently, I'm not going to get into details but long story short I'm losing my home and also dealing with a lot of past trauma.
I've recently connected deeply with someone (I've known them for years but only recently become close, we've recently had some deep conversations and I know they've struggled with depression I don't currently know their thoughts around ctb).
I've been considering talking to them about my plans around ctb, mainly so I can explain everything about it to someone before I leave so that at least someone might understand why I've left.. I'm just wondering what peoples experiences with this are and if anyone has any advice about how to go about it to minimise negative effects?
Also, I'm sure there's other threads out there about this and I did try to search for them, it's just hard to find the exact thing I'm looking for sometimes.

in my opinion, telling anyone in your real life about wanting to ctb always ends up badly, be careful and make sure you know their stance before you open up. and im so glad you found someone to share a deep connection with!! ♡

I would try and approach the idea slowly. Hpw about you say that you wanted to CTB in the past, and see how they react?

Talk about a popular case where a celebrity committed suicide to get her overall position on it

unless you talk to a person who is wholeheartedly pro-choice this may not lead anywhere but into a big desaster, because they will only tell you doing things that will not help in your particular situation which is individual and need extremly tailored individual help, that's ofc in the case you are really seeking help.

Others who have replied already mentioned things. Seeking help is always a good option, CTB is always the very last one but in any case a legal human right!
