Discussion Oops! What's the most expensive thing you broke or lost etc.?

For me, a 48" TV. Shitty Samsung didn't provide long enough screws to fix it to it's base so- it always felt a bit wobbly. I stupidly didn't complain initially and took a very expensive risk. I knocked it with something I was working on and it toppled over onto a bowl. I've taken out other TV's in simlar clumsy fashion. Good job I don't drive really...

a 500 pound laptop stopped working after spilling a beer on it short out this was 2 years ago only had it for around a month as well

also a drug dealer ripped me off 270£ after i paid to get some weed he never came back to me

Probably losing 200$ buying weed. He was a personal friend and a consistent dealer for me for years but one day he just took the money and blocked me. I think the worst of the loss was still my friend.

Same I went to school to study accounting. And got laid off three times before the age of 25 and spend years bouncing from one short-term contract to another . Finally found stable employment at a call centre so I feel that I wasted my parents money to get a job that I could have gotten out of high school.
Meanwhile 4 of my cousins are doctors and are actually contributing to society

Partied too hard once and drunk puked all over a $200 pair of boots. I also went through a period where I changed my entire wardrobe a few times (like, buy all new clothes then decide they weren't my style and give them away, repeat) which I'm sure cost me a couple thousand. Also steeped myself in credit card debt and had to pay it all off including the interest.

Honestly though, probably my Steam library as I'll never play 90% of the games
