• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Ya after 30 years of near homelessness(well technically as Im typing this I actually am homeless. Also my mom was homeless when I was born) I am sure that my eternal sadness only stems from being dirt broke.I think the graphs and video prove me right. EVERY.SINGLE.ONE of my current problems would be solved with just having enough money. 🤷🏿‍♂️

There are examples of wealthy people who have mental health issues, but of course, having a lot of money makes almost everything easier.

If I won the lottery, my happiness level would increase dramatically.
I'd also go to a good psychologist to get my brain fixed, but wealth would automatically improve a lot in my life.

Yes. I know, at least, that's why suicide is the best option. Cause I'm poor.

I once had money for 1 year (more than I needed for the first and only time in my life), and I got sober for the first time, studied at uni full time, lived in secure housing, with clean sheets, went grocery shopping and learnt how to cook... that was 6 years ago.

Ever since that money ran out, I've been fucked. It was the best year of my life. And it wasn't like I wasn't depressed. I just had options, time and space. Like waking up sad and then not having to do an entire day of unpaid disability care work for someone on an empty stomach with no clue where you will sleep later... it's very different. I did shit like made collages and ordered food and watched things ON A LAPTOP. I also paid for therapy.

And yeah, it's been fucked before that year and fucked afterwards. And it's because I'm poor. And being poor is fucked beyond not having material resources. You are also socially excluded everyday. Watched. Monitored. Judged. Psychiatrised. Very hard not to engage in substances. The pain is enormous. You have such limited choice and agency. Those things are required in Western individualism to survive.

Anyway, yes. Sorry you're in the same boat.

youd be far worse off if you were homeless and had to drink poisoned water like me...
it's not like wealth determines if a person is happy or not with his life, surely having money helps with some thing but trust me it's not the solution to everything, i do understand that being homeless must be a torture and i hope for you u can be able to support yourself economically again soon

ya it doesnt solve all problems obviously. If you are diagnosed with schizophrenia or dementia ? no money in the world can 'cure' these things. Its just permanent. Tough luck buttercup🫂

Tons of wealth or resources just makes getting access to the things thst would provide temporary alleviation to these problems like a partner (or partners) , or your own place, being able to afford a psychologist wuth regular check ups, not being genocided cause nobody makes a profit by keeping you alive, etc... easier.
