Venting Oneitis destroying mind

Ive been fixated on the exact same person my last conversation with was like 4 years ago and it's consumed every part of my life. I even rejected other women based on that in peak obsession mode. Can't really explain why I am but I live in a small rural ass area and it was the only other person I've met here who was also vegan and had other similar lifestyle / moral beliefs. First person to ever show interest in me

Has anyone else had problems like this and been able to recover? I feel like a loser creep but it's impossible to get away from the thoughts

when i got my first crush in highschool i felt the same
she was the only girl whom i felt similar with
she was into the things i was into
her character was as if like i chose the traits she had
it took too long to forget but eventually i did

how?
by acquiring new obsessions

This is called limerence and there's no real way to get over it except to move your obsession on to someone else. It really sucks though.
