Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Cutting relies on a lot of factors in order to be successful. How deep you go, how long the cut is, how much blood you loose, etc. so while yes you can die from cutting, unless you have a high pain tolerance, it will be hard to make a deep enough cut. Even then, its still up to luck if you loose enough blood.

I would think that someone cutting your throat would be WAY different than you cutting your own.

Okay, and there was a case of a woman dying at a hair salon due to having a stroke caused by the angle she was sitting at while at the backwash basin. The thing is, beauty parlour syndrome is rare, just like how successful ctbs from cutting are rare. No one is denying that there aren't cases of people who, whether intentionally or not, die from having their wrists cut but these cases of the minority. To succeed using this method you need to cut past the muscle layer, which can be incredibly painful. Along with that, you would also need to already be desensitized to gore (specifically in cases where it affects you, such as with more moderate to severe forms of SH), have a good understanding of anatomy, and have sharp enough tools. Most people are unable to meet all of these requirements, making this method incredibly unreliable for most and putting many at risk of permanently disabling themselves. The success rate for cutting is very low.
