Thanksgiving in America tomorrow. Co-workers taking time off. Neighbors having guests. Media telling me to celebrate. Buy things and save a ton of money. Eat. Relax.

It's mass insanity. I hate it. I don't care. What a meaningless fake thing.

If you don't buy anything, you'll save lots more money. Anyway, the time off is at least a blessing.

Dreading it too. I'm jealous of the lucky ones eating good food around family, even it's fake. Thanksgiving and christmas are some of the worst holidays out there

Just treat it like a Thursday. I hate it too. I am grateful for an extra day off and an excuse to eat pie and that is as much mind as I pay the holiday.

pluhh, it'll be just another thursday for me to bedrot in, even moreso when extra family's coming over and being extra noisy to the point it irritates me and makes me want to stay in my room some more.....only good thing will be the food, ig.

i'm dreading it as well. I'll be at the park all day tomorrow so hopefully I won't be around family if i'm lucky, but the mere thought of having so much food leftovers in the house is upsetting to me. I can only resist for so long before the people I live with start trying to forcefeed me. It seems I have two options, either I snap on them or I shovel some down anyways to appease them, but I don't like the 2 finger method and I only have so many laxatives left before I need to buy more (and I'm broke as fuuuck)

I started a Thanksgiving thread yesterday. I told my aunt I wasn't feeling well and would not be going to their family gathering today. God, I hate those things. Wears me out, physically and mentally. All the shallow bs conversation that I have zero interest in.

Holidays are awful, some more than others. The commercialization and underappreciation and the way people use holidays to mean things they aren't sincere about always bothers me... but what depresses me is my own inability to experience and enjoy these holidays as intended, to share them with loved ones and have those times and experiences... because I am always alone and though I would truly make the best and appreciate these times IF I had someone with me... being alone sucks hard... and I'm compounded in my misery by seeing others not appreciate what they could be having and experiencing.
