OD as sh

Think I confused the A&E Dr who saw me yesterday when I explained I had taken the paracetamol OD as a form of sh not as a suicide attempt. I get it's a little extreme but imo it was only a minor od and it gave me 2 days ocd free as it was a strong enough compulsion to cancel the thoughts out. Urges are starting to come back now but that's cos the treatment is over, I'm medically fit to be discharged but they want me to speak to ALPS (acute liason psychiatry service) first even though I've told them I've already got an appointment with cmht (community mental health team) on Tuesday (Sunday currently).
