NZ silently blocked access to SS overnight

I know being in New Zealand means there aren't many of us on here, but it seems that overnight either my internet provider (or perhaps all of them) have blocked access to SS. It wasn't an internet fault or anything of the sort; it was a proper block.
I'm using a VPN with no issue, but I still found it surprising. I haven't seen any local articles about it. I suppose I knew it was coming, considering our ties with the UK (Five Eyes, the UN, and so on) but it still makes me sad.
My country was once known for being sort of progressive but it has slipped a long way.

Not sure if it is just temporary, but considering five NZers have been linked to using this site prior to CTB, I wouldn't be surprised if it finally got blocked.

I feel worried with the way things are going, a lot of countries will follow suit. Ironically, I feel pressured into CTB now with all these restrictions and welfare checks going on. I want to go on my own terms but unfortunately the world isn't like that.

Hello! Okay, that's good. I'm still having issues on my side, but all are fine after a VPN. Looks like 2Degrees may be the culprit!
