Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Canadian MAiD program was my last hope for peaceful relief. Now it appears the Canadian medical community is of the opinion that I'm not even allowed to have advocates for end of life options.

Fuck all pro-lifers that assign some arbitrary value on my life and then enforce it with involuntary incarceration. This is bullshit.

I know the national post is trash but, in general, MAiD in Canada was supposed to be extended to people with mental illness almost a year ago. This article looks similar to the type of articles that came out then too.

The fact that anyone wants right to death advocates removed from all parts of the MAiD process, is ridiculous. It's the same as imprisoning me and relegating me to sidelines because I'm just another "crazy". Just on a national level.

I'm worried that it will be delayed again or, the requirements will be so strict, no one will get it. I'm really worried they will tell everyone they need try as many treatments as possible. I don't have the money to keep trying treatments. I'm in hospital receiving treatment and I'm losing money by the minute. I'll be homeless at this rate, and still be unable to kill myself.

That is really abysmal news to hear that people are vehemently pushing back against MAID or even attributing malice and prejudice to the organization. I don't believe they understand the process nor really done their homework before criticizing the purpose and benefits of MAID.

With respect to MAID being delayed (yet again) in 2024 when the date draws near, it wouldn't surprise me and it would definitely be a travesty as the expansion is continuously delayed and pushed back (almost indefinitely), leaving those who are suffering without a way out to endure the worst of all. At that point, even the Belgians and Dutch policies for assisted suicide and death are more merciful (but again, only for their citizens).

I might have to look into citizenship. Probably not easiest way to go but, I bet I could citizenship in either of those countries before MAiD actually becomes available.
