November 2019 PPEH for upload?

I'm aware several SS members have access to the latest PPEH. Would any of you please consider trying to make it available here?

If someone had exact instruction on how to do it, maybe I would try, but there's a lot that goes into it..
I'd have to screenshot and edit every page - ok, no prob, just takes time. I could prob figure out how to make a pdf ... maybe?
I don't know how to rip videos other than a screen grab, but that takes more time and I don't know if the prog I once used still works, might need a licence or I'd have to torrent a new one.
But then it comes to where to load all that onto for people to be able to access anonymously?? (security issues) - No idea how to do that.
Also, others would have to verify it before its posted b/c I don't expect anyone to blindly accept what I am giving them is authentic.

Because of the issues you touched on I was initially reluctant to make the request but did it anyway. I'm curious to know if the PPEH can be saved from the Exit website to your hard drive or similar device or does Exit format the PPEH in such a way that it's a "read-only" document and you can only view it on their website?

It's a read only interactive webpage that looks like an online book where you can search for words and change font size, page layout, etc. You can't download it to your own device. In fact every time you go onto th site you have to login your username and password. If you don't enable cookies for the site, after 3 tries it assumes you were sharing the account esp when using Tor bc it has a diff IP address each time so it locks you out. I learned the hard way and had to email them to reset the account. Overall the security on it is pretty tight.

If you load the flash version (not HTML) of the PPeH, there's an option to print. You'd just need a pdf printer (dozens of free ones on the net, just google) to save it as pdf. (instead of selecting your printer, you will select this virtual printer on the print options)
Of course you also need the (outdated) Adobe Flash Player

I would do it, but I only have access to a chromebook right now, and for some reason the printing won't work. Should work on windows or Mac osx

Thank you for the explanation. I imagine there are ways around the security measures you've described although you'd probably have to let someone else more knowledgeable about internet security have access to your Exit account somehow.

All links I've seen are written out (verbatim), so you'd just have to copy them. Videos aren't included, but the ones I've seen don't add too much info anyway. Everything important is in the text.

The PPeH uses the Yudu Reader, and there's really no easy way to extract the content, I've looked into it.

Printing should be the best option, screenshooting/-casting is a lot of work..

A possible short term work around would be for someone with both versions to create a pinned/locked thread with _just_ the method and protocol edits that have been updated between March and November? Perhaps an updated Scammers list could be done by another person, and an updated Sourcing list by another.

Morally, I think sharing copies is okay, in this very specific case. But if one has the money, I'd still prefer them to buy their own copy. I think we should support authors or organisations dealing with this topic as much as possible, who else will?

Then your browser will prompt you to select options. I forgot, if you're using Chrome, you don't have to install a pdf printer, Chrome has this built-in.

Yes, that's stated somewhere, but they also state that they'll make exceptions if your reason for planning suicide is reasonable to them.
I'm 26 and chronically ill, they granted me access. Didn't have to provide a photo ID, just described my case. It will probably be harder if you're 'just' mentally ill, but you could still make up a 'better' story.

I wish people wouldn't have to lie about their reasons, but I guess they had to restrict access in some way to decrease negative attention from the public..

I'm glad you were able to buy the PPEH and without having to provide ID.. Perhaps the photo ID requirement is just a bluff to discourage people who aren't truly interested in suicide. For the record, however, the following is from the PPH website:

The Peaceful Pill eHandbook is published for people aged 50 years and over (or who are seriously ill or who have other valid reasons for wanting this sensitive information) and their friends and family. Photo ID will be required if we are unable to ID you online."

You can gain access to PPH indirectly through accessing it from a third party and not directly through Exit's site (eg: Amazon)
Also, very easy to fake an ID or Passport/Utility Bill. Many do so for PayPal etc restrictions. Just Google!
