Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

i know i should take my medicine (i take them for bipolar) but it just feels crazy that ive been taking pills everyday for 5 years non stop- it makes it tiring to refill them or genuinely look for changes/symptoms before talking to my psychiatrist. i know i need to take them otherwise i will get worse but i already feel at my lowest- the last time i had a psych appointment he told me that suicidal thoughts were normal for me and shook it off and he isnt wrong because they are- it feels very exhausting.

I leave meds advice to qualified folk, however in my own case I didn't do well with SSRIs. Cleaning up my diet a bit and taking Vitamins seemed to suit me better. But then, I appreciate my condition wasn't yours.
Best wishes.

Psychiatrists tend to have certain key phrases that they respond well to. If you "just" say you're suicidal they might write that off as acceptable because of your diagnosis. If you instead say something like "I've been having these suicidal thoughts and they are obstructing my ability to function in every day life. For example things x, y and z become harder/impossible to do because I think about suicide all the time. This level of suicidality isn't acceptable to me." It lets them know that the suicidality isn't "just" a part of you, but something to be addressed instead of just accepted.
I'm no doctor so I won't say anything on meds. But I can imagine that you'd be exhausted from carrying those thoughts and experiences for so long.
