Let's say you have a 10mm static climbing line that is tied in a slipknot or simple noose and it doesn't fully close and squeeze when pulled. Instead it acts more like a fixed loop in how it applies pressure to the object inside of it. How can this be fixed? I've heard of using a lubricant, that does not seem to work in this case. I've also heard of using a metal ring somehow (not sure how this would help tbh); but I have not read about any other ideas as to how to get this noose to really squeeze, rather than just pull with very uneven pressure (aggressively targeting only the opposite side of the knot).

Grateful for any speculations. Best answer will get a "solution".:sunglasses:

I have, or "had" a friend that CTB by partial hanging. He had 2 socks tied on each side of the rope in solid knots about as hard as fists where his carotid arteries are located. He left a note for his step sister saying not to go upstairs and to call 911 because he don't want her to see him dead. Regardless, she called 911 but still went upstairs when they arrived. He removed his closet doorknob, fed one end of the rope through the hole and tied it to a pipe wrench on the other side of the door. He had just filled his prescription for 30 ambien a couple days prior, they were all gone. They also found a travel size tube of aquafor. When they removed him from the rope their hands were all greasy. She said he had it all around the rope, his neck and the knot.

Grease and hard padding, then. But I'd still need the noose to really squeeze from the sides (where the hard padding is).

You might be using too much pressure. It takes more pressure to close the wind pipe than the carotid artery. I think the idea is to close the carotid and then pass out, dangle and not give a fuck about your airway being compromised.

Unfortunately that's all I was told. As far as the knot goes she didn't specify. I'm assuming he placed the socks there to get solid contact with his carotid arteries so it was more of a blood choke and black out as opposed to the rope actually crushing his entire throat making it extremely uncomfortable and impossible to breathe.

How did he learn to do that?

Used this instead of a simple noose or slipknot, slides easier and is able to really dig into the neck. I am using 10mm static climbing line. Placed it below the Adam's apple while sitting and leaning forward. I got at least somewhat of an exploding head feeling and some light-headedness + tingling sensation in my face. Used no significant padding.

I also placed to slippers as padding whilst lying down (with a slipknot, b4 I tried the lasso, same rope) and achieved at least exploding head on that try too. When I did it it felt legit and relatively comfy.

Looking into buying a ratchet strap and some form of good padding, then duct taping the padding onto my neck and strapping my shit up. I have one pair of MMA gloves and one pair of boxing gloves, the material in them could be used to craft padding. Otherwise I guess it's more cringy attempts in the forest-parks where chronic masturbators find me and talk about their girlfriends.

Fast is smooth and smooth is slow. I'll get there eventually. We're all gonna make it bros.
