Non-IC welfare checks?

I purchased from tig and I'm slightly concerned due to recent events. Has anyone had a police visit after purchasing from somewhere other than IC?

Even if they do its only going to be a quick chat.

Crime is so high, and convictions are at historic lows in both the UK and USA. The police don't have the time and resources to get involved in suicide.

They wouldn't force me to hand over the sn or anything right? I'm in Australia so things can be a bit controlling. I also live with my mother so I'm concerned she would force me to hand it over. I'm an adult though so I don't think it should be an issue...
