No friends

My mum bought me a gaming PC after nagging for so long (I have to pay her back in instalments but I'm super grateful) but now I've basically nobody to play games with anymore I was so excited for it too. One good thing I looked forward to ruined again :3
I cry a lot but I'm so used to disappointment that when something good happens I become on edge so this just to be expected

Its too early to give up u can ask people around the forum if they wanna play or look around in the make a friend megathread so u can find someone to play, discord can also work but i dont know about any communities or how good they are (i generally hear rather bad things about discord servers but i never been active in any server so i dont know).

I wish I had friends too~ >_< Everything is so much better with them~ :( At the very least, a gaming PC should let you do things faster and play games you couldn't before~ :)
Maybe you could try to find friends among those who play the same games you do or those you would be willing to play, like on Discord or Steam, or maybe you could find a friend here~ hehe~ :)

You can just play multiplayer on any pc game and talk to people right? With headphones and stuff?

I mean, I did that. I had the privilege of being called all sorts of names by 15 year old kids and so on.

To be honest, I kind of sucked. I used to play healing characters or tanks, not DPS. Still, they should have been grateful I healed them and got their hit points up


But you are definitely going to enjoy yourself. Gaming is a phenomenal experience.Extremely addictive though.

I don't have any friends either, I play a lot of call of duty and fortnite as my multiplayer games but that feels somewhat pointless because I usually just play them on my own. I posted a thread if anyone wanted to join me on fortnite the other day and nobody responded to it. What games do you play?

Good job on getting a new computer. My gaming laptop kicked the bucket almost a year ago so I've been a console gamer for a whole. Despite having access to a PS5 and PS4, I've recently spent the most time on my PS3 lol.

While I don't play online much, if at all, I can tell you PC has probably the most expansive library of games available at the moment. Apart from usual current PC games, you can get old PC games on GOG, which are modified to work on modern systems, and of course, there are emulators for everything: Consoles from early Pong clones to modern Nintendo, Every handheld under the sun, A very large amount of non PC computers, Arcade games as far as the eye can see, and even one for McDonalds ice cream machines! (I'm not kidding, there really is one.)

There are a lot of sources too: PCGamingWiki has a lot of resources to run games as good as possible, FMHY has a lot of everything, but a large section related to games, and where to download them, Myrient is a large repository of retro games, Roms MegaThread is another good source of retro games, EmuGen Wiki is perhaps the largest and most reliable source on emulation in general.

And of course, you can always message me if you want to talk about these, or other sources, or even recommendations. I'm always happy to help with such things!

I relate to that last sentence a lot. It just feels so wrong for me to fully feel happiness when something good finally happens because I feel like something bad would happen after, which, it usually does.

What games do you play ^^? I'm not much for multiplayer games but if we have something common, I'd be open to play with you if you'd like :)

Having very few one or two really good true friends is better than just having an empty big friend circle of those who aren't real friends.
