Below is a photo showing the nitrogen tank that has a full tank of nitrogen and as you can see connected to it is also regulator and flow meter. when I go to turn on the nitrogen cylinder, nothing comes out. Has anyone had any problems similar to this? it came prefilled. The knob doesn't seem to turn much so idk if that's normal or there is something you need to remove on the cylinder valve.

Are you also setting the flowmeter to what you want it to flow out as? I thought both had to be on for it to flow, if it's at zero, then zero flow.

From the left pressure gauge it seems the regulator is still closed, did you unscrew it after opening the tank?

Did you remove the orange cap before inserting the flowmeter? Also, does any hissing sound comes out when you turn on the top silver knob of the cylinder?

yes, I tried turning in the regulator on after unscrewing the tank but played around with it too to get some fort of flow.

No flow of gas comes out but you mean taking off the orange cap below the cylinder valve? I didn't know that was an option. Will look into it and thanks. 👌
Ok the orange cap portion I don't think can be removed. 🤷🏻‍♀️It's as if cylinders handle is tight shifting only a tad to the right or left almost on a lock.
Based on videos where the handle turns an ample amount what I recorded here doesn't barely turn at all.

could you try removing everything attached to the cylinder and take a video. Then try turning the knob. If it's still like that I'd assume there's some sort of lock

Take off the flowmeter, and see if the orange cap that was obstructing the exit is punctured. That thing as I mentioned in your previous thread was a failsafe covering to prevent gas from slipping out. It needs to be taken out first and then the flowmeter needs to be added.
Another question, when you were putting the flowmeter did you hear anything crack or break?
The knob should not have a lock on it if its a regular cylinder. It needs a bit of push from overhead and a sligt tilt towards the open arrow, only a slight but a little more than you are pushing in the movie.

How did you purchase this?

If it was shipped to you they ship empty due a full tank being considered a hazardous material.

Even though most likely you probably bought it somewhere and drove it home, I figured I'd mention this as it's an easy thing to overlook.

Correct, it came from a local welding company.
