Method Nitrogen cylinder- how pure is it?

Are the cylinders sold by welding suppliers pure enough, say around 98% or do they supply worse quality Nitrogen? Does any one have an experience with the quality of the Nitrogen?

This can vary by nation but in US as example there are industrial and food grades where seller can confirm or legally must comply with the national standards for industrial/ food/ etc which can be looked up. Also with my OCD would plan to verify with oximeter and co2 detector.

Good idea to test for CO2. Though I only have a CO detector. Hope my supplier sold me pure Nitrogen. I don't want to attempt and find out I'm breathing a lot of CO2.

That looks like a very high quality seller. I bought mine from a small local dealer.

It is (in the UK). Its one of the big 2. Its also not restricted.

Usually it is about 99% pure.
Most legitimate uses of this inert gas demand such purity.

You can test it with an oxygen meter....since that is all ctb cares about.
