As a child I loved to watch Nickelodeon. Yes this channel also was a thing in Germany. Among many some of my favorite shows were iCarly, Drake & Josh and Spongebob. However, as it turned out a pedo(?)-weirdo the producer Dan Schneider abused his power. I never noticed it as a child or young teen I was very innocent concerning sex. But now as an adult so many weird naked feet scenes of minors. Many ambigous scenes with sexual connotations. Completely disgusting and very weird that these episodes were still shown on air.
Here are some passages of the article.
The Business Insider story published Tuesday reported how Schneider — who was once described by the New York Times as "the Norman Lear of children's television" — allegedly insisted on hyper-sexualized content in his shows, "the most revealing" teen costumes and male-dominated writers rooms and that he also asked for on-set massages. The piece said that the showrunner "created an uncomfortable, bizarre environment that he ruled over like a fiefdom"
"Zoey 101" star Alexa Nikolas, who last week protested outside Nickelodeon's headquarters and has publicly said she "did not feel safe around Dan Schneider" while working at Nickelodeon, detailed and corroborated various accounts in the report. She described Schneider as volatile and the on-set environment of "Zoey 101" as "traumatizing." She said she left the network when she was about 13 after a contentious exchange with her co-star's sister, pop star Britney Spears, that resulted in Schneider later going on a tirade against Nikolas in front of Nick executives.
"He's not a good guy," Nikolas said. "And Nickelodeon was just letting it happen."
The abuse of Drake Bell (from Drake and Josh) might have been the worst among these cases. I feel very sorry for him. He was so cool. But the perpetrator was someone else called Brian Peck.
In the aftermath of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, an Investigation Discovery docuseries about alleged abuse and misconduct at kids' network Nickelodeon, reactions to the biggest bombshells have poured in, particularly when it comes to former network star Drake Bell. During the four-episode series, which concluded on Monday, Bell says that he was sexual abused by his vocal coach Brian Peck, whom he met on The Amanda Show set. Peck was convicted on sexual abuse charges in October 2004, sentenced to 16 months in prison, and ordered to register as a sex offender.
The abuse occurred when Bell was 15, before he began his second Nickelodeon project, Drake & Josh, in which he starred alongside Josh Peck (no relation to Brian) as a pair of stepbrothers forced to share a bedroom. They appeared in four seasons of the series, plus two movies, and have navigated a sometimes rocky offscreen relationship in the years since.
Parts of my childhood memories are now very dark. Even more than before. What do you think about it?

Josh Peck Reacts to Drake Bell Sexual Abuse: “Children Should Be Protected”
Bell previously urged his fans to “take it a little easy” on Peck, who “reached out” to him privately after the release of a bombshell docuseries about scandal at Nickelodeon.
