Hmm, I thought the Holy Bible is a one big forgery itself... If god is love, why then so much blood in this book?
Btw one guy came to me recently and started talking about Jesus. I did not know what to answer and said: sorry, I am buddhist.
He looked very sad like I have just said the god never existed.

The whole book is a work of fiction including the dead sea scrolls so I'm not surprised.

@faust next time just tell them you're a ex-christian. Most new Christians know they can't win against one and will just repeat Jesus hoping that'll change your mind.

Heh, I still think saying you are a buddhist is a bit better. There is no god in buddhism and is a very consistent spiritual philosophy. They know nothing about it and seems impossible to convince you in opposite. If you just say that you are ex-christian, you will get a decent punch of questions why you crucified Jesus in your heart. Atheists, agnostics and ex-christians are good clients for them.

Every time I went against them I won. They can't argue with someone who knows the Bible. I don't know much about Buddhism but if that gets them off your back I might try that.

Usually it is enough to say: "Sorry, I am buddhist, we have a different point of view, that's why there is no point in arguing". Muslims are very hard to talk to for them as well.
