The numbers on hanging are nowhere near accurate. Not every failure gets reported, not even close.

Sn is fucking brutal and nowhere near 100% effective.

i think you might struggle to find someone online who knows they have HIV and are not in receipt of treatment. current mediation makes the virus almost untraceable . Life expectancy for those with HIV is fairly similar to the population.

I'd say the person trying to use people with a serious illness as objects in his fantasy game is the one being an ass but that's just me.

Aside from all the other obvious ethical, practical, legal, medical and moral aspects that should stop this being any more than a fleeting gedankenexperiment you are asking someone to be directly responsible for you becoming infected. That's low.

If you think bugchasing is sick you should think very carefully before you go chasing bugs.

Some dating apps allow people to list their status. I've matched with positive people. Never inquired further about their treatment status but I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard. I think you can even set some apps to only search for HIV positive folks (thinking grindr, specifically).

On grindr, if you click on "more filters" and scroll down to "tribes," it lists poz as an option if you want to narrow your search down to HIV positive folks.

But as others have stated, HIV isn't really a death sentence in 2025. And it can take a while to show up on screenings so you might unknowingly infect others while waiting on your positive test result, which seems crappy.

This method was brought up before years ago. I tried to talk them out of it. I don't know what they decided.
As @humantool mentioned it can take years for HIV to develop into AIDS. Some don't get aids and are just carriers.
I don't know if you have looked at any pics of people with AIDS but it's scary and sad.
I wish you the best whatever you decide. I think it will take many years and a lot of pain before you pass.
