  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

does anyone know if you'll die if you cut the veins under your tongue. they're directly linked to the heart so would you just bleed out and die if you cut it.

Ouch, if it has the same low death success as the wrists, you might as well not risk becoming mute & having a hard time eating...

People get tongues cut in movies but live? But women in anime treatened to bite off their tongue & bleed to death?

I wonder now...

Possible but unlikely. The blood stops quickly.

There is an artery in the arm pit?

Looks extremely painfull and no sense when there are easier, safer and tested methods out there.

The mouth is also the quickest to heal, so the tongue could clot and heal quickly. Like @Hollowillow said, they used to do that as torture, and those people would then become a mute.

Not the best alternate method, IMO. But, hey, if it works for you, let us know how it goes if you can.

I severed my tongue veins and muscle by eating a piece of glass, thinking it was a potato chip (it was an empty bag, someone was cleaning up glass and put it in there to chuck away, I came back in the room and emptied the crumbs out, and ouch).

It hurt and bled a huge amount at first, and I needed maxfacs surgery for the tongue muscle, but it healed very quickly indeed.

Certainly not painless
