I am new here so if I post something that has already been discussed I apologize.

I have thought of VSED since I have fasted before with no problem. They say a person can only go three days without water but I don't believe it. I'm sure it is long and drawn out.

I just recently read that sodium nitrite is a relatively painless way to go. I don't have the guts to jump, cut or shoot myself. I ordered some. Escape hatch.

I'm surprised I found this site. You put "suicide" in Google and all these hotlines come up. Although they have the best intentions, they really can't offer any help. They can't even find you a rubber room to hide in.

I'm sorry for all the suffering that has brought you to this point. I can imagine that it must be a relief having the option of a way to exit this world at a time of your own choosing. I agree that suicide hotlines are pointless. I wish you the best in whatever happens.

VSED usually takes 2 - 3 weeks. If you have the will then you can do it. When you ordered your SN did they call you and ask what you were using it for? And welcome.

No, it came fully sealed, so I don't intend to open it and test until the day of. I am not too concerned about validity of the source though. Supposed to be I think >97% pure.

I'm sorry that you are in enough pain to bring you here. I can tell you I went two weeks without water and obviously didn't die. It depends on your age, weight, health - lots of things.

I see things changing before much longer, as it seems tons of companies will only sell to biz or labs. I am holding out for N but might order some SN as back-up

I have all the AE, propanolol, etc. My preferred method is F (which is near impossible to get and the prison time for it is real in US), N being second, I suppose SN would come in 3rd as most opioids are pretty unreliable

To each their own. I'm not here to convince anyone. SN works for what I feel capable of tolerating but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. I hope if you decide to die to you find a method that feels suitable to your needs and desires

I've got to wait a bit, at least 1 yr for suicide clause and contestibility period to be over on my life insurance policy. I feel like N is so much more peaceful. But it seems SN is widely used and more affordable. This life is for the birds though

Hi, I'm also new here. I'm sorry that you find it difficult to live. I'm also in the same boat. I just want to die. I wish there was a way where I could just go to sleep and never wake up again.

Yup. Wasn't even expensive.

I know we all come here for different reasons. I truly do hope that most of us keep trying. Maybe having SN as a last ditch escape clause helps us mentally. I'm truly sorry for everyone's pain. Notice how many rotten people there are in the world? Do they get depressed? Anxious? Doesn't seem so.

You're very kind to say that. Oh, I KNOW there are MANY good people on this site. I can tell just by the words they write and how they are written. The essence of who someone actually is is easily discernible in most cases.
