New here, don't know what to say,
so I sit with thoughts that won't behave,
depression curling at the edge of day,
like a debt I owe and can't repay.
Anxiety hums like a frayed live wire,
shaking my hands, setting my chest on fire,
crowded rooms, but I fall apart,
polite small talk, collapsing heart.
Everyone's laughing like it's all okay,
while my head storms in a silent way,
worries stacked in a crooked tower,
trembling under their own dark power.
It's hard to explain what the silence means,
how hope shows up only in bits and seams,
how getting through the day can feel like art—
a fragile sketch on a shaking heart.
So I'll start with this, since I'm here today:
