Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I always get a little sad when an article like this gets posted, because it makes it seem like there will be even more restrictions on SN in the future and lead people to attempt in ways that are more dangerous.
I love that the company reaffirms that they aren't responsible for how people use their products and that it is completely legal to own and purchase. I find it hilarious that in the USA anyone can order a gun online without any difficulty at all, but everyone flips out when someone chooses to end their own life in a way that is significantly less gruesome than gunshot.
I wish we could live in a world where people who want to end their own life can do so in a way that is comfortable to them. Seeing this gives me a bit of hope that people in the future who wish to CTB will still have SN as an option.

Yeah, but they'll have to settle the lawsuit in some fashion to make it go away. People just like to find scapegoats with huge pockets to appease their own guilt. And you're absolutely right that as more and more methods are scrutinized and taken away, people will resort to more dangerous and grizzly methods. These so-called "white hats" haven't a clue. They think that by eliminating methods, the suicide rate will miraculously go down. They're delusional. It doesn't work that way.
Once again those damnable pro lifers, making a difficult choice even harder. I think they get off feeling they have saved a life. Naturally that allows these misguided idiots to feel that they have worth, and value for stopping an attempt to ctb.
