Help need opinions and answers- do i have a chance to fix this or am i screwed?

i know this is vague, but would love any input... if you told someone you were genuinely suicidal, had lost 20 pounds in the last 4 months, and have lost all lust for life because of a mistake you made where you inadvertently enabled something, would you take the time to listen and have empathy for this person? what if they had proof/documentation about what happened? or would you just call them crazy and tell them to f*** off?

If it was me, and with my mental health issues, I would take the time and at least see if there is meat on the bone, as far as if the person is genuine or is blowing smoke.

If for real, I would try and help, as long as it is NOT a con game, with someone looking for some type of economic enrichment.

I would definetly hear them out but due to the vagueness it's really hard to tell what I'd say/do afterwards

Everyone deserves the right to be heard. Of course, after that, things can become complicated. If we are talking about emotions, actions and how those actions are then interpreted then, I'm not sure how far documentation can get someone. There again, they can prove a lot I suppose. The main aggressor in a series of emails or texts for example.

If it's something that's happened and you've reacted in a less than ideal way. I'm not sure really. People still deserve to be listened to. To explain why they acted like they did but sometimes, both parties need to take some responsibility. Maybe one more than the other sometimes but maybe prepared for that to happen too. As in- to an extent, both parties are in the wrong. That happens sometimes. People trigger us to say things we then wish we hadn't. We're both kind of in the wrong there. I've just learnt to stay away from them in future. Not to say either they are us are bad but the combination can be.

yes, this is a situation in which me and the other party did something wrong, and i'm trying to take accountability and resolve what happened. this isn't a matter of trying to blame anyone, just to explain the situation and provide them with clarity/truth.
