Help Need help with a friend

i was talking to a friend last night and I told her i might be visiting her country in the next six months or so but I'm planning to CTB this Saturday and part of me knows it won't do any good to tell her but the other part doesn't want her to be disappointed or anything so I'm not sure what to do
