Hi all,

My planned method is either partial or full suspension.

I can't get access to anything else, and frankly I'm too thick to comprehend any other methods.

I'm mostly afraid of pain, however, and have heard this can cause a lot of it. How can I prevent this?

I'm thinking of getting drunk/high (or whatever) before doing this so it'll at least — hopefully — lessen the survival preservation instinct. Maybe.

I'm 5'1 and 47 KG, five or take, so finding a suitable place, rope (any suggestions) shouldn't be too hard.

Feedback appreciated.

In general partial can be peaceful but works only a small percentage of the time, while full suspension, if done correctly, works a high percentage of the time but can be very stressful and painful. It's not easy finding a peacefu lhigh percentage method, most methods have some risk of going wrong.

Be careful of being under too much influence that something gets flubbed.
Better reliability with full.
Though I have wondered about setting up a partial, and as drugs or alcohol take effect, one no longer has the ability to physically stay "up" and the body weight comes down. In this instance, one might actually use an excess of substance to work against the SI. In the full, if there's no way to get out, it won't matter if SI kicks in.

i messed around with partial for a week or two and it didnt go well, i just couldnt get it to work in a reliable way

full does sound like a gamble, you might pass out quick or you might not. it feels like there's no way of knowing and you just have to go for it

i suppose alcohol might make full hanging both less painful and less stressful

Do you know the best rope/ligature to use? The strongest, most comfortable etc?

No. I've seen a few choose a nylon or poly. If you're conscious when it happens, it won't matter what kind is chosen for comfort, the pain from hanging will far overshadow it.

Yes, that's true- people who die from full suspension often have lots of claw marks on their necks from desperately trying to remove the rope- with full suspension it is likely it will be terrifying and very painful until you pass out- is this period of terror, a few minutes to twenty minutes or possibly more- worth it to stop tears of pain? That's a decision people have to make for themselves. Full suspension done correctly and without interruption is a very reliable method. But it's naive to think that full suspension will be peaceful, though it is quite reliable if not rescued partway through- if rescued partway through you may live as a very disabled person for a long time, that is the realilty.

a few minutes to twenty minutes or possibly more-

No the period until one loses consciousness is likely no longer than one minute. I recently watched a full hanging suicide.

If you go to suicide discussion, and filter by most viewed posts in the first two pages there are multiple posts about hanging methods. If you do partial I agree with my-end you wouldn't want to do too much substance/you would want to do a lot of practice and then get everything set-up before you high.

Those posts are great ways to improve your method and make it more reliable.

We need more info about the time the person is in pain .
Is it srconds or minutes ?
The possition of the rope being just under the jaw and tighten will make it less painfull?

Others say seconds others say minutes . We need a guide or help to minimize pain
