I've figured out that N2 asphyxiation with an exit bag may be the way for me, but there is a set of technical questions I couldn't really find answers to by myself - perhaps you can help, and if you can, I'll be most grateful, especially since I can't go asking around about these things at hardware stores.
While PPEH suggests a 2.2-litre N2 canister might be sufficient, it turns out I can get my hands on a 50-litre, 12-kg canister of 100-% food-grade nitrogen, which where I'm located uses a DIN 477 connector. So far so good, but here, the technical stuff begins, and I hope someone will be able to help me:
* I'm aware that the next link in the chain is a pressure regulator. But all of those that I've found don't feature a flow meter, which to my understanding I'll need to get that ideal 15 litres/min flow. I guess I could find one to buy, but the first thing I need help with is the type of connector at the other end of the pressure regulator, which presumably the other end of the flow meter will feature as well as I'll need to hook a hose to it next;
* PPEH suggests transparent soft plastic tubing as a hose but will any hose with the right connector that I can tape to the inside of the exit bag do equally well? If not, what connector does the soft plastic tubing use? This is relevant even if I end up going for the smaller 2.2-litre canister with the M10 connector;
* should I use Teflon tape at every stage of the chain from the canister downwards?
* should someone with the level of knowledge or lack thereof that I've displayed here know or watch for anything else that I haven't thought of at this stage?
Thanks in advance to anyone that may help me with any of this.
