do you understand how bitcoin transactions work? sometimes they may take a long time to confirm

from what i've heard that's just the kind of guy he is, doesn't much like responding to people inquiries. i don't think you got scammed, just need to be a little patient.

A has been re-added to the PPH, but no one confirmed an order since then. He only wants to use standard shipping without supplying you a tracking number. This is a big red flag. Stay away from A for the moment.

D stopped responding once I had sent the payment also, I don't think it's significant
He says himself at the beginning that he doesn't like lots of emailing back and forth anyway

you mean he didn't mail you to confirm the payment and delivery? or that he did and that was the last response?

I had to double email him to get a response and it was more delayed than the previous emails, I kinda just said something along the lines of "was everything ok with the payment?/did you manage to pick up the payment ok?" after he hadn't replied for a few days and then he responded confirming everything was ok and sent the tracking number

I ordered from D, the package arrived to Europe in 5 days, spent 3 weeks in "UPS initiated contact with the sender to obtain clearance information. Once received, UPS will submit for clearance" status, I guess some required info was missing, and now it has a new tracking number because it's going back to the sender. I'm pissed. I hope D sends it again and this time it arrives correctly. Anyone had a similar experience?

He sent me an email asking for a contact number for UPS, which I gave. No one contacted me and he didn't say to contact them. I didn't think I had to call them myself since everyone says to just wait and to be careful of Customs. So I guess I just wasted my money due to D not filling some form or not explaining I had to call UPS myself? How are people getting their packages successfully then?
I think you would have to contact ups and give your verification. Maybe try that.
I gave D my contact as requested for UPS. He didn't ask for anything else neither asked me to call them nor did they call me. I was afraid if I called they would ask for information / invoice about the product which I could not provide. That's why I wanted to know if anyone else had the same issue with UPS and how they solved it.

The EU invoice requirements are not something new or complicated, and people have said they received the package after those requirements were implemented so I guessed D knows how to fill the necessary forms. All he said was missing was a contact number for UPS. Was I the first unlucky european?



Just to clear things out, does the "UPS initiated contact with the sender to obtain clearance information" status means it went to Customs and D purposely let the package go to waste? Or was it a matter of him sending an invoice / me calling them personally? People who got their package recently ever get this status or it just got through with no issue?
I need to know, can't just keep throwing money to Mexico hoping something gets through without knowing the cause.

Guess I should be grateful for the discount.

Did you re order it? It seems that there were some logistical errors that were out of his control. D is legit

I did. He resent and now UPS want me to send proof of purchase, what the content is, etc. If anyone ever had to send a proof of purchase or declaration of content / value I would gladly appreciate the help.

Rough spot. Not sure if anyone else had to deal with this. I know EU is harder to get than the US. It's possible your address has been burned and you might have to just give this up at this point. Maybe someone else here can offer better advice

From what I understand so far it's still just a receipt issue (for taxation purposes). So as long as I produce a declaration stating what I paid (product + shipping) it's still recoverable. It's not like lying in it would make it any worse if they decide to open and test it in the end.

It's an issue with private shipping companies, at least in my country. When I use regular mail I don't have as many issues. Every past package with UPS / DHL asked me for the receipts / declaration of purchase for tax purposes.

I dont understand. Whats shipping companies like UPS/DHL got to do with "tax"? Do they have to report to IRS?

Have had initial contact email though all I have been asked is what country I am in? No other details or information yet. Can anyone advise if this is normal with D?
