Story My neighbor

a neighbor that lives a couple of houses down just moved back in with his mom after his divorce, I think he was in his mid 30s. the other night his mom went to spend the night with her daughter/his sister, and when she came home he had hung himself. the paramedics and police were there and the sister simply said "my brother hung himself' to all of us neighbors. I know they were all in shock, but it really REALLY triggered me, as you can imagine. Partly, I was envious that he succeeded, and partly because it just proves to me how many people are struggling mentally and end up ctb. He was literally 4 houses down.

Yeah, a couple years ago a neighbor CTB'd outside our condo complex the day after Valentine's Day (I assume hanging but don't actually know). She was also recently divorced. I wasn't jealous at the time because I wasn't suicidal, but I can relate to being jealous now.

I just found out yesterday that he was an ER physician! I know doctors have the highest suicide rate out of all professions, but it is so strange that he wasn't able to get his hands on some drugs instead of having to resort to hanging! makes me wonder if meds are impossible to get?
