My mother told me I should just go ahead and kill myself and when I said it will hurt her more than me she said "don't worry about me I will be fine in 5-6 years" so I guess there's nothing holding me back. I was gonna shoot myself cos my fathers handgun isn't under a lock but I haven't shot a gun in a while and I'm scared I won't do it right. Gonna wait to get my SN and then go to a hotel. I'm jealous of ppl who acc have caring parents.

Sorry to hear it. I also received subtle 'just get it over with' line from my mom several times. People only give a shit about themselves. My parents are in part guilty for my situation. It is what it is, at least I won't feel that bad when ctb. But don't do it to get back at anyone, they won't care at all.

Eeven though I don't condone that kind of response from your mother - there must be something that has gone seriously wrong in her life for her to act in that way.

Is it possible she is just respecting your choice? A lot of people on here want people to respect their choice to die but when other people give permission, they get mad they don't "care" to fight them on their decision to die. Either way it's a horrible thing for someone in her role as your mother, and I'm sorry if that hurt you. Just giving another perspective..why do we on this forum demand the right to choose to die but then get offended when people who we hope care about us don't fight our wish?

Sometimes I felt like getting rejection and shame is better than indifference. Just something, even the slightest bit of emotion. I mostly just got anger.
So now I just hole myself off from the world slowly collecting more reasons to ctb. I really do have a miserable existence. My mother used to tell me to just kill myself when she was around, now it's probably the only thing that I will live up to now.

I've been suicidal a lot in my life, and one of the things I've learned is not to talk about it with my friends or family. It's a sure fire way to push them away from you. Initially they'll be sympathetic and consoling, but over time they'll grow tired of hearing it and lose all sympathy. I've been watching that series on Hulu, The Girl from Plainville, and I think what happened with her and her bf was that she got tired of hearing him talk about committing suicide and that's when she started encouraging him to go through with it. I think she was sympathetic at first. Just my take.

my mum threatened to call the police on me. Since then, I've been wishing she was in the Ukraine. I mean my friend's mum got out the Ukraine, and I would send my mother there. She is a witch.

Hey I just joined this site and wanted to say your mom is being cruel. It is your choice, but she is being a really messed up person by saying she essentially doesn't care. My mom is kind of the same way and everyone in my life has used me and abandoned me. I get jealous of people who have loving caring parents too
Honestly if my mum was that chill about me going then I would be pretty happy. I've already made up my mind and there is no question that I won't go ahead with it.
