My mum quit her job yesterday and i got an envelope from the nurse

My mum quit her job yesterday without telling me. She did it because otherwise i would only get half of her leave pay if she dies.
I was there 5 hours today. She can still recognize me and smiled when i told her i love her. And i carressed her eyebrow like she did when i was a child.
I will miss her so very much i think i will die of heartbreak before i can ctb.
She was such a wonderful person. I am still crying. Why is this world so cruel and take her away after she found her partner for life only 3 years ago. 2 of which were filled with covid nonsense and they could not travel or do things they wanted to do. I am getting angry now and screamed my lungs out infront of my apartment complex.
People started looking but i did not care. Life is just so unfair to the best people. Either they get exploited or something else bad happens to them. Meanwhile i know alot of shitbags that are still kicking with over 80. I am so fucking angry.

I'm so sorry to read this. Your mother sounds like a wonderful person.

Your post made me think about/remember my own mother. I lost her over two years ago now and it still hurts to this day. Though this might not at all be like your situation, I was also deeply angry that my mother's illness (which led to her death) started just a few months after she retired. She had worked tirelessly her whole life, and had given so much of herself to everyone around her - I just couldn't make sense of why she had to go so early, especially because I know how much she loved life (unlike me, as it turns out). She was my best friend and meant the world to me.

Anyway, just sharing all of this to let you know that I feel you. Life is heartbreakingly cruel sometimes and, even though there's nothing anyone can do to take the pain away, sometimes the pain can be made a bit more bearable when we know others share in a small part of what we go through.

The funeral sucked big time, as it was 'online' with a shitty camera setup, the few allowed to be there had to wear masks, and no one could be there when she was buried. The one good part was I got to talk with her a few minutes on the phone that day. It was all pretty terrible. I'm glad you can be there with your mom.

I'm so sorry that you're going through that. This world, with great help of awful people, has accelerated to unprecedented levels of bullshitery and it keeps on taking the best from us. This world doesn't care - it neither condemns, nor condones, its as neutral as it can be and many take advantage of that. All in all, life is just a lottery of a plethora of unchangeable factors that either fuck you up forever, or give you an unfair advantage. Fairness, though, was never an option, sadly.

Last year adelson as well as Donald rumsfeld died which was a hoot and something im absolutely glad I got to see before I die. Now mahathir Mohamed is in and out the hospital which is f'in awesome !
