I reluctantly went home to bring stuff to my dorm

Extra clothes, cooking supplies, and so forth

I had 4 bags packed total. My dad got up and was like "you shouldn't take so many heavy bags. How about I bring them for you tomorrow? I can after my doctors appointments"

I was initially reluctant but allowed him to do i

I brought 2 with me and left the rest 2 home for him to bring for me

He made a comment about wondering if my cooking might cause smell issues with my roomate or potentially trigger a fire alarm (to be fair I have to be mindful of this)

But he supported my desire nonetheless, even asking if I needed forks and knives and other things (I'll buy stuff myself)

A part of it just doesn't feel right

He still wants to buy me my own place one day so I can truly be "happy" but I don't think its fair to push someone at the age of 61 to their limit

He's old, losing weight, and I can't allow myself to feel guilty
