Venting my cat left my apartment

somehow he learned how to open the door and now he's out. it was my fault for leaving it unlocked, but it has happened before and i'm honestly hopeful that he will come back.
i should probably feel more guilty than i do right now for being so irresponsible, but i am just so numb i don't feel anything at all right now

My cat left once for 10 days but fortunately I found her. She was in the street next door. They usually come back. It's not your fault

aha extremely quick update but aparently he hadn't left home and just showed up randomly while i was in my pc. i'm assuming he got stuck in a closet or something like that, but what matters is he's back :>)
