My brothers wife beats her 8 and 4 year old sons

I'm very sad about this situation and that my brother was married to her, I dont know even what to do, my parents are divorced, I tried to explain my mother that it is not normal, so she will explain to brothers wife, but it seems like she doesnt care, my father has another family and we see him rarely. I feel really unhelpful that I cannot do anything and stop it. She beats them, threatens them, yell at them very often, I tried to show her another kind of interaction with kids, but she doesnt even pay attention, she thinks that she is right, she thinks that by this way she educates them. My 4-years old nephew started to have nightmares and he says that his brother is dead and cries, it makes me very sad. Just wanted to share with you, tomorrow I will talk with my dad and I will ask him to explain her the consequences of her actions, because she thinks that if I dont have children I cannot teach her how to raise her children.

Was she anger to her parents, but she couldn't do anything? Does she remember it clearly? If yes, I will say that the same feelings have her children and if we face such traumatic situations why we should make our children feel it. Someone should stop it.

I hit my 17 year old stepson on a couple different occasions. He was assaulting me so its not clear cut. But after thinking about it i came to the conclusion that this should not be happening. You cant raise kids by hitting them. In my case it was somewhat self-defense but i am still concerned and plan on never doing that again. I dont know what reason there is to justify hitting an 8 year old or a 4 year old.

There is none. Literally none. Shit like this can fuck up a person for the rest of their lives. It's a tragedy, because kids are so innocent. If you see a kid being a piece of shit, 99.9% of the time it's a reflection of their parents. My heart goes out to those kids in this situation, it's not fair for them that their mom is an abusive parent who should not of had kids.
