I was thinking of posting this one but it's hard for me to listen to when I'm depressed.

Oh, man! Bring out the tissues with this guy! Have you heard his song, "Jolene"? Just like you, I can't listen to that frequently. That's some sad stuff. I have to admit, when I first heard Ray LaMontagne's "Jolene," I thought the person singing was female.

Oh, I LOVED this! It's beautiful! Thank you so much for posting; I never would've found this treasure on my own!

I'm not quite sure what to say… It's just a really good song and such a different interpretation than the studio version.

Oh, yeah! I really like him! Do you remember that album "Either/Or"? I really liked that. He was a dude who seemed to "get" (i.e., understand/relate to) women with depression, you know.

Does anyone get weak in the knees for these guys anymore? Fher's voice has this desperate quality-- even though he can have any woman he wants, and apparently in real life is kind of a jerk. I've seen Maná in concert once, and much like in these videos, Fher is a formidable front man, and a generous, hard-working (if slightly cheesy) performer.

Maná is not as fashionable a band as in previous decades, but I've listened to each of these songs on repeat for maybe 3-4 hours on two respective evenings this summer. I don't know who did the heavy lifting for these lyrics about loneliness and romantic yearning, but just like Fher's world-weary-sounding voice, they comfort me when I'm processing romantic grief as we borderlines are wont to do.

I've watched this video clip no fewer than 10 times. The singer is beautiful! I noticed you're from Poland. Forgive my ignorance, but I did not realize there was a thriving Jewish community there in current times. (i.e., I thought being Jewish in Poland nowadays was akin to being Jewish in Russia--not a picnic). Love the stuff you post. Especially those two Hasidim singing "Wish You Were Here."
