Right now I just love this part from "The police - Can't stand loosing you" because my girlfriend left me, and I really can't stand loosing her so I can relate to this. And I am planing to send her this before I CTB as my last message.

I love this song, because it describes how anxiety feels perfectly, but in a kind of manic way. Even though I don't take meds for my anxiety, it explains how one can become addicted and hooked on calming pills, such as xanax (hence the title 'x ANA x'). I love how the singer (Josh Katz) talks about xanax as if it was a person, a lover.

I could literally go on and on about how the song explains how anxiety feels in every way, but I don't want to annoy others hehe.

You guys should check out Badflower. Their music is great and they talk about things such as anxiety, suidical thoughts, and substance abuse. Amazing band!

Anyone else into punk/new wave type stuff? I've been obsessed since I was young. Love the subculture, it's been one of the only things in my life that's given me some sort of sense of belonging.
Sharing some of my favorite songs pertaining to darker themes: depression, isolation, alienation... I know if that's how you already feel then you might not want to hear it in music but I've always found it comforting to be able to relate. So just a fair warning.
