Leaving Las Vegas.... Great movie.

"O'Brien committed suicide by gunshot at his Beverly Hills apartment on April 10, 1994, two weeks after learning that his novel, Leaving Las Vegas, was to be made into a movie. His father says that the novel was his suicide note."

Not really about suicide but about the will to live. A great movie by director Terry Gilliam; The Zero Theorem. I found it quite easy to relate to.

I just watched You Don't Know Jack about Dr. Jack Kevorkian (played by Al Pacino), an assisted suicide advocate in the United States. I thought it was excellent.
Watched it yesterday. Amazing movie and very controversial.

Ratcatcher 1999 is a good lesser known movie worth checking out.

EDIT: House of Sand and Fog is another good one to watch. That one is a bit more known.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet... but...
'Helen' with Ashley Judd. Amazing film but very devastating.

To Live and Die in Oregon is an interesting documentary about assisted suicide for terminal illness.

Probably the most well known one, and possibly the most dramatic, is of course Romeo And Juliet.

Not a movie but Flowers is a UK series that was absolutely bloody brilliant. Dark but funny at the same time. Really insightful.

The End Of The Tour (2015) is a great film about acclaimed author David Foster Wallace, who later took his own life.

An Elephant Sitting Still (2018): a very crude and nihilistic movie, the director committed suicide at the age of 29 after releasing it;
Suicide Club (2002): the most important work of the master Sion Sono, which shows this side of Japanese society;
The Suicide Manual (2003): very difficult to find, it is a little slow but in some scenes interesting;
After My Death (2017): very sad and melancholy korean movie, but it deals with this delicate theme in a magnificent way.

Harold and Maude (one of my favorite movies, everyone should watch it haha)
I loved the concept and the ambience of Wristcutters! I didn't care for the ending though, I thought it petered out a bit.

Watched this yesterday after seeing it in this thread and couldn't agree more. The concept really interested me, and I enjoyed the story & characters, but the ending just killed it for me unfortunately, felt like a waste of time afterwards.
